Eergisteren las ik een interessant persbericht, waarin Berkeley het Matterhorn initiatief aankondigde. Dit project wordt financieel ondersteund door de Mellon Foundation en Hewlett Foundation. Men wil in dit project gezamenlijk werken aan het beter gebruik van video in het hoger onderwijs. Alle software wordt als open source beschikbaar gesteld aan iedereen die het wil gebruiken. Ik was aangenaam verrast dat ook Europese universiteiten hier bij betrokken zijn! Ik ben benieuwd of de Universiteit Twente ook wil aanhaken. Want waarom het wiel zelf uitvinden?
